I'm moving there. I feel that Blogger is not keeping up with the times, and that its functionality is very limited.

I have once more, not posted about what I've been doing for a really long period of time. Well, maybe you've seen what I've been doing in the two previous posts. But honestly, the figures are greatly exaggerated. It can track me playing more than one game at a time, and most of the time, I'm actually not playing the game itself, but rather leaving it in the background to run.

So what have I been up to? Well, I've been learning to drive, and have been doing so for the past two and a half weeks. I have to say the experience has been an eye opener, interesting, frustrating at times, and oddly, rather boring as well. So many different feelings, you ask? Why not?

It's been an eye opener because driving hasn't been as easy as I thought it would be. As a passenger who hasn't driven before, what would you think about it? Just sitting there, step on pedals, look at mirrors, turn left and right. Seems really easy. And it is easy. What makes it hard is you need to do all that in a second or two. Well, at least you have to while you're learning and while doing your test. But once you've made it a habit and practised enough, it's not so bad anymore

It's interesting because it's something new. New things are usually interesting, no doubt about that.
It's frustrating because progress seems really redundant is slow at times. This is linked to it being boring at times. Sometimes I feel like I'm being milked for my money. Sometimes I spend so much time driving around aimlessly that I really wonder what I'm learning. Surely there is time to squeeze in another lesson chapter? Maybe there is, maybe there isn't, I don't know.

That's my driving lesson progress. Only those who have learnt driving in BBDC would understand that. 2.05 and 3.01 were clearly subjects that were simple enough to squeeze in with another subject, but it was done alone. But these two subjects were done with instructors who weren't my usual ones, so maybe they underestimated my learning. Gah. It's 66 bucks per lesson yo.

And it's boring because driving around aimlessly at 40km/h is well, really boring. One instructor even told me at the end of the lesson not to dream, and look around more often for potential hazards. I once had this instructor who kept asking me to slow down even when I was driving at 30km/h. Come on man I can't possibly drive at 15km/h to approach a hump 150m away.

Anyway, progress is good so far, feedback from instructors is good, and I've got a Final Theory Test Evaluation this upcoming Wednesday. I am completely annoyed by questions about the clutch, since I'm only learning how to drive an auto car. Yeah learning auto transmission only is one of the reasons why learning how to drive is a breeze.

I am starting to understand how the clutch and it's usage techniques, and I hope it'll be enough for me to pass. Biting point, half-clutch technique, connecting and disconnecting clutch technique, meh.

Oh, another interesting thing is that you get to see familiar faces every time you go to BBDC. Seems like I'm not the only one who decided to learn driving almost everyday. Or maybe it's because I'm learning it everyday, so I manage to see familiar faces since I'll see them no matter what day they decide to be there.

---------------------------------------------
So that's what I've been doing for about 3 hours daily. What about the other times? Well, I've been watching TV shows, playing Mass Effect 3 (which I have recently completed), and playing World of Warcraft. I've been playing so much WoW recently it's getting really dull. Yesterday was the breaking limit for one of the raid leaders, when people in the Icecrown Citadel 10-man core group decided to be late and fall asleep while raiding. This bad behaviour has actually been going on for weeks, maybe months, but nothing was really done about it.

I myself am getting rather sick of the reliability of such people and the raids. I need to slay the Lich King. I don't need to spend hours every week waiting for people to stop being a retard. Well, I don't know what's going to happen tomorrow onwards; I honestly wouldn't be sad if the guild falls apart. I've had enough of WoW.

---------------------------------------------
My attempt to register for the May special term in NUS has failed. I don't really know what happened, but during the registration period, I registered, and it said that I didn't register. So during the appeal period, I appealed, and they didn't accept.

Oh well, I'll try again for the second special term. Hopefully it works better.

In the meantime, I'll watch TV shows, read books, learn programming, and hopefully I would have my driving licence by the end of May. Hopefully I'll be able to script a simple game as well.
