Well, its the last week of the holidays already. The holidays always seem so short. Its not that I hate school, I hate waking up early. I hate the discipline. I hate the homework. I hate projects. Well I seem to be contradicting myself because that's all part of school.

I'll be going to ACJC for the first few weeks anyway.

I've just completed Red Alert 2: Yuri's Revenge. Overall its a good game, but playing this game 7 years after it was released, the only great part of this game is the story. The gameplay is nothing special. Heck, the whole Command & Conquer series never changed its gameplay. So in one way, its special because only the Command & Conquer games play like that. In another way, its not special because there are a lot of Command & Conquer games out there and that makes the whole series rather repetitive.

I've also tried World of Warcraft by signing up for the 10 day trial. The thought of playing in the real server was great initially, but after a few hours of playing, the euphoria died. Let me sum up why I don't like World of Warcraft. Stupid quests, stupid quests, and last of all, stupid quests. Kill this. Do that. Bring this to someone. Bring it back after that someone has used it. Be a delivery man. Walk, walk, walk, walk everywhere. What's the fun in that? I know, there's raids, wars and lots of things that await once you reach the legendary level 70, but I don't think its worth it going through all that crap to reach level 70.

Since the only MMORPG that I've gone close to the max level and felt the power of being stronger than 90% of the people playing the game is Runescape (level 70), I've decided to make my life easier by playing a MMORPG where grinding is as easy as pressing 1 button. Granado Espada. Just press the spacebar, and volia! Your characters start fighting by themselves. Currently level 20, hope to participate in colony wars and raids soon. 80 more levels to go...

The areas in Granado Espada that are meant for low levels are amazingly empty. You see at most 2 or 3 other players every hour. Everyone else is practically at their max level already. I guess its pretty obvious now why Granado Espada went free to play. No ones going to pay for a Korean grindfest.

I saw this on the Granado Espada forums and its pretty cool.

Question: Is it moving clockwise or anti-clockwise?

If you see it moving clockwise, you are right-brained. Right brain is associated with artistic ability like singing, painting, writing poetry. Right brain dominated people rely more on their intuition Right brain know how they feel but have trouble expressing it in words.

If you see it moving anti-clockwise, you are left-brained. Left-brain dominated people tend to be more logical and analytical in their thinking and usually excel at mathematics and word skills. Left-brain are verbal and have little trouble expressing themselves in words.

Apparently if you are able to see it turn in both directions, you are changing the side of the brain that you are using to look and understand the picture. I saw it moving clockwise when I first saw it. Me? Right-brained? Lol.

I copied and pasted it from the forum. I just found out Granado Espada has gone free to play. 4GB installation file? No thanks.

Well the holidays haven't been very interesting, but at least theres more to do compared to the other holidays I've had for the past few years.

I revisited many classic games. Starcraft, Red Alert 2 and Dawn of War: Dark Crusade. All right fine Dark Crusade isn't exactly old or a classic, but its still good. Also, I shouldn't say I'm revisiting Red Alert 2, as its the first time I'm playing it fully (I say fully because I've played about a minute of it before it hanged last time).

The sad thing is, I can't watch any of the movies in Red Alert 2. Don't ask why. At least I'm able to watch the Allied campaign movies as I have the CD. Even then, the experience isn't as good as compared to watching it from the game itself at the correct timing.

For some reason µTorrent is causing these horrible slow downs to my computer. Everything just slows down. If you can see a countdown timer, it'll take about 2-3 seconds to count 1 second. Totally horrible. I bet Bittorrent made it horrible after they acquired µTorrent. Great, now I have to switch to a big fat client called Azureus. Looks like I can't download at 100+kb/s and upload at 8kb/s anymore. Horrible ratio huh? Yes I'm a leecher, kill me now.

Oh yeah, get Messenger Plus! Live. You get to apply skins to your Windows Live Messenger, colour your nicknames, and use scripts. These scripts allow you to do many special things, both useful and useless. Example, steal the display picture of whoever you are talking to. Or maybe make the LEDs on your keyboard flash when you receive a message. Good if you are always doing something on full screen. There's a lot more...

I almost forgot, whatever you do, do not "support" them and install the sponsor that comes with Messenger Plus! Live. Their sponsor installs spyware into your computer. You'll be safe as long as you don't install the sponsor thingy.
