Well, life goes on as usual. Currently now its the test period of term 1. Done with GP and Geography, and Chemistry, Math and GP test 2 is up next.
Anyway, now that I've started to do every single piece of homework I have, I find that I don't really have much time for leisurely activities. The fact that the freaking @$%@ing %$@ ^$@# NS is in one year forces me to go exercise, and that takes up about 1 hour 30 minutes a day for three days a week. I will not waste two months of my life because I'm unfit or whatever crap. So basically, I haven't played any games for a few weeks now, and the only leisure activities I do now is watch South Park (season 4-12 done, I'm watching it backwards), read Breaking Dawn (which I completed about one hour ago), and play with my PSP for those short periods of time where I decide to take a break.
Also I've read the posts about "My Life In Singapore" (at the sidebar) again, and I did add a note to the school culture posts. I guess I'll add it here too. Some of the feelings I had when I typed the posts have either reduced a lot, or are totally non-existent. Mainly it is the feelings for my school, and especially my class where I have stopped to dislike so much. I just grow to like and get used to my class, where everyone is so nice and friendly. I don't feel that bad already. A few things still stand though, which are the "I hate Singapore" post, and my hate for Math and Science.
I don't think my hate for Math and Science will ever diminish. However, I'm starting to see Singapore in a different light, especially after the GP teacher talked about why there is such strict censorship laws and stuff in Singapore. Its true that Singapore has strict censorship laws, but most of us can actually still live happily and relatively freely. We watch shows we want, download stuff off the Internet legally or illegally, walk where we want, and say things we want, as long as its not sensitive. Sure, having even more freedom than that would be nice, but like what the GP teacher said again, would it be good for people to walk around and call people a blackie and stuff like that? Technically in this day and age, nobody really cares if they're called a nigger or blackie. I mean, even the races in Singapore are telling people racist jokes that demean themselves (e.g. Indians telling an Indian racist joke to a Chinese).
Actually that's not really the major point of such lack of free speech. More importantly, Singapore only has its labour and its economy. If that doesn't function properly one way or another, Singapore is dead. And if people started holding speeches and protests wherever and whenever they like like the opposition parties, its going to create a lot of problems for the economy. So, Singapore might be right in creating such retarded laws.
Anyway, according to the laws, I believe I have violated the law already. Besides, this unexpectedly turned into some sort of essay. Not a good sign.
Oh woe to millions of people out there. The Pirate Bay might be in trouble.
