I'm moving there. I feel that Blogger is not keeping up with the times, and that its functionality is very limited.

Yesterday was the crappy annual cross-country. Yeah I ranted about how we have to go all the way to Bishan Park. Anyway, I amazingly had some fun there. While we watched the competitive runners run past us, I said "hi" to random people I don't even know. Lol. Then the Milo truck was kind of near the finish line, so I ran towards the finish line screaming "Miloooooooo". Geez, if you didn't see me doing that, I'd bet you wouldn't even believe I would do such a thing. Also, the roads were parallel so we could cut across again.

So before the run began, the Principal prayed for clouds. We got a flood instead. Anyway, I think every single person who was there got wet from head to toe. Hair to shoes. Freakin' lightning was pretty damn near. Lightning and thunder came as the same time, and I smelled the smell of something burning. It was freaky enough to smell the destruction of lightning. Had to cross the road to the HDB blocks, and at the curbs, the water was ankle deep. Then the teacher stood in the middle of the road with his hand up, like how Neo stops bullets.

I squeezed water out of my socks 4 times. The shoe is like some sponge, everytime you wear back your shoes with your socks and stomp around, the socks soak up all the water from the shoe. Anyway when I came back, I put my shoes behind my laptop, with the hole of the shoe facing where the holes of the laptop fan is. Hot dry air blowing my shoes. Worked well.

I went back to Tech Council today too. I have to say its a great decision. Back to familiar people, back to familiar atmospheres, and back to familiar work. Well actually, this time there's actually work, and I'm actually glad that there's work. There's a 2 hour 40 minute gap between my last lesson and Tech Council, but I can do a pretty good amount of work during that time. Gives me some free time during the weekends to chill out.

I read an article some time ago, I think in the Time Magazine. It said something about how saying "yes" to things usually results to better results and life satisfaction than saying "no". The write said he eventually ended up doing lots of things he didn't really want to, like travelling across half the globe, and buying some expensive stuff he didn't want to buy. But in the end, he said he felt a lot happier and his life became more fulfilling. He got a good job, a happy family and stuff.

The part that really convinced me is about what he Googled. He Googled something along the lines of "I wish I had said no", as well as "I wish I had said yes". The results for the former brought up regrets that were a lot stronger, and had more search results. The latter came up with regrets that were very minor and negligible, and there were less of such regrets.

After I read that, I actually am trying to apply such a principle into my life. If I feel like doing something, just do it. If you think about it, what really bad can happen to you if you just try it? If you happen to not like it after that one time that you tried, then just stop, simple as that.

But if we decide to say no, there is a possible chance that we could have missed out something that could have really interested us, or could have given us a sense of achievement or fulfilment.

So, I'm glad I said yes to going to both Spectra and Tech Council. Going to Spectra enabled me to compare and see how Tech Council is really the better one for me, and Spectra is just bullcrap. Going back to Tech Council allowed me to see that it is really getting better, and staying back for such a long time isn't really as bad as what I thought.

I wish I had read that article earlier. Wasted my J1 life I feel. Maybe that's why I did what I did during Cross Country. Have fun. As much as it sucks, don't spend your life moping around. You'll regret it one day.

Oh look what I just read on the Scapegaming Forums:
"Peyton -- OK to put a wrap on all these rumors going around about someone famous playing on our servers.... The guessing is getting out of control. I will tell you, yes, someone who is extremely well known is playing here, no I will not tell you who it is under any circumstances. If you ask me about it, i will ban you. We actually have a couple. One is an actor and just doesn't have time to put into retail. I would guarantee you that 90% of the people on these servers would know him... that is why his privacy is so important. Geez you guys, you are jumping all over this one, we have about 3 guys from a famous band also that play here.... we aren't that uncool that people don't want to hang out with us ya know".

Scapegaming is a WoW private server by the way.
