I'm moving there. I feel that Blogger is not keeping up with the times, and that its functionality is very limited.

Its Open House in my school today. Of course, such events are a waste of time. There'll be another time-wasting event tomorrow and on Friday, which is AC Games (think Sports Day).

Since there was nothing much to do, I went to the computer lab to do some stuff. I managed to complete my I&R (part of some crappy subject called Project Work), so I don't have any work to do until official lessons start. So I went to screw around with the computer. First, speed test of the school's internet connection. Here are the results.

I don't think that is the fastest I've seen so far. I've seen speeds of about 130 000kb/s if I'm not wrong.

Next thing I did, is to open 1000 tabs in Firefox.

The amazing thing is, after opening 1000 tabs and letting the system stabilize (right after I open the tabs, Firefox will lag), there was absolutely no lag at all. Then, when I closed the 1000 tabs, it closed almost immediately. Unfortunately task manager was disabled so I couldn't see how much resources Firefox was using. In contrast, my crappy computer of mine, which I adoringly name it "Trash", is capable of lagging with 1 open tab. Even as I type this, it lagged. Then for some reason, the whole computer froze and I had to pull the plug (again). I think I'll go for a 3 hour full virus scan. On second thought, nah. Who cares about this computer. If I fully paid for and owned this computer, you know what I'd do to dispose of it? Since its a laptop, how about jumping on it (with shoes of course). I was also thinking of throwing it down the building (safely, I'm not a killer litterer). Maybe throwing it against the wall with all my might (which isn't a lot) would be good. Too bad I won't be doing that. My Dad would be wondering where it went.

Then I watched a lot of "Just for Laughs" videos on Youtube. Spent about an hour or so watching such videos. Interestingly, my school has blocked Facebook in one of the computer labs, and I was trying to bypass the block. Sad to say, I have to conclude that Singapore has a censorship system that rivals that of Korea. I did manage to open the Facebook log-in page, but that was just from Google's cache (stored websites in Google's database). Nothing else worked. Proxies (which are blocked in the first place), translators (which is also detected as a proxy), mobile version of Google, using a website shortener, it all failed. The only way might be to either use programs, or to use more drastic measures.
